From 3 May till today (5 May), Biesse has been taking part in Jec World, the annual event dedicated to the composite materials industry which brings together professionals from all over the world, from major global companies to innovative start-ups in the composite sector, with experts, academics and leaders in R&D.
With more than 1,300 exhibitors from 112 countries and 43,500 visitors, the main aim of Jec World is to support and promote the composite materials industry, developing channels and platforms to promote expertise and foster business relationships. Biesse Group positions itself as a point of reference in a market where the forecast for the future is extremely positive.
“Jec World for us is an unmissable event where we can establish new relationships and consolidate existing ones, whilst keeping pace with new market trends. Jec World undoubtedly offers all visitors a comprehensive overview of the manufacturing industry, and with our technologies, we pride ourselves in ensuring that we are always by the side of our customers,” explains Lanfranco Fontanelli, Glass, Stone and Plastic & Composite Materials Commercial Director.
This year for the very first time visitors have been able to experience all the benefits offered by technologies bearing the Biesse and HSD Mechatronics brands – the latter specialises in the production of electrospindles, milling heads and components for machining composite materials, metal and other materials.
Biesse solutions are extremely precise, easy to use and versatile, and come with all the optional features that are needed in order to process the materials that are on the market today. Biesse has created a range of products made up of panel saws (SELCO PLAST), work centres (ROVER PLAST and MATERIA), water-jet cutting systems (PRIMUS), sanders (VIET PLAST), and thermoformers (TERMA).
“Our strength lies in the fact that we offer the customer a complete machining process, from sectioning to factory automation. With our technologies and expertise, we are dedicated to the plastics and composite markets, courtesy of our numerous partnerships in the automotive, aerospace and industrial components sectors.”; explains Guillaume Thenon, Biesse Business Development Manager Plastic & Composite Materials.
In Hall 6 – Stand D25, visitors have been be able to enjoy the experience created in collaboration with Factory Unit, a French company based in Antibes, which, along with L2Concept, boasts decades of experience and highly-specialised skills in industrial automotive design, supporting companies from all over the world in the creation of prototypes and concept cars. Indeed, the stand features a concept car created using Biesse technologies, which visitors can take for a virtual spin in a driving simulator, as they go head to head in the Biesse Race.
“The partnership between Biesse and Factory Unit began a few years ago, when Alain Grandjean, CEO and founder of Factory Unit, was looking for a machining centre that could meet the high expectations associated with the design and implementation of projects like this. The collaborative relationship between the two companies has enabled mutual growth thanks to the exchange of skills, knowledge and technologies”, explains Silvano Maddalon, Biesse Sales Manager Plastic & Composite Materials.
Visitors to the stand are also able to make use of an interactive display which offers a broad overview of Biesse technologies and a range of the main Made With Biesse partnerships and testimonials.
