Every project starts from an idea, but it requires imagination and skills to become reality.
Gefit, landmark in the industry of automation and supply of moulds and assembly machines, moves towards knowledge gained to promote innovative solutions and it offers a “turn key” service, starting from Customer’s specific needs and joining him along the road to the realization of assembly machines and production moulds that meet his needs.
“Our mechanical engineers work with the latest static and dynamic analysis and simulation software, such as Autodesk Moldflow Insight, Autodesk Nastran and Ansys. The use of these programs allows to improve the pre-design phases and implement analytical capabilities“, explain the company.
Thanks to these virtual tools, it is possible to fully understand the behavior of the plastic inside the cavity in its moulds (and at the same time to know stress and strains to which the steels are subjected) and the behaviour and stress to which the plastic components are subjected during their assembly cycle.
These tools allow to obtain a highly reliable virtual simulation and thus to identify problems at a very early phase.
“The above-mentioned programs make possible for Gefit knowledge that becomes essential and fundamental in the relationship with the customer and that contribute in a decisive way to engineering a stronger and safer artifact“, concludes the company.
The applications have been numerous and have led to the identification of, for example, Thread and undercut deformations rather than ovalization and deformation during the component’s extraction from the mould.
In the same way, they have made it possible to identify, for the assembly, the behavioral limits which the components would have had during the assembly cycle, such as breakage of jumpers, stress on the threads and deformation of walls.
