After a canceled and a digital-only JEC World, the world’s leading International Composites Show will be back in Paris-Villepinte this year from May 3 to 5, and Kautex Maschinenbau will be there too, demonstrating its latest developments in the field of composite pressure vessels. Visitors will find Kautex Maschinenbau in the German Pavilion in Hall 5, Stand E65 / G55.
Composite Pressure Vessels (CPV) are playing a rapidly growing role in the automotive sector as well as in many other areas of industry. CPV are used wherever gases such as LPG, CNG or hydrogen and certain liquids must be stored and transported in containers that have to withstand particularly high pressure under different climatic conditions.
In the automotive sector, these include brake systems, hybrid drives and tanks. CPV are lightweight, can withstand enormous pressure loads, are insensitive to mechanical influences and corrosion and can also be manufactured in a comparatively cost- and energy-efficient way.
The engineers at Kautex have successfully developed and implemented numerous solutions in this area in recent years, especially in the fields of LPG, water filtration and CNG. At present, there are also great development opportunities in composite pressure vessels for the storage and transport of hydrogen.
Kautex’ focus is on the development of smart and sustainable production solutions. Future Mobility is a perfect example of this. A lot of research and development work has been done by Kautex Maschinenbau in the field of CPV in recent years, which benefits the entire industry. The testing of different plastic materials plays a central role in this, because ever new material qualities on the market make the choice of the right material a matter of experience. Together with plastic producers and customers, Kautex has tested numerous polymers in their development centre for thermoplastic composite pressure vessels and have in-depth knowledge in this area. Currently Kautex is working more intensively on the development of sustainable production of hydrogen liners.
Visitors with product ideas in the field of CPV who are looking for a special solution and an implementation partner should visit the Kautex booth and talk to the experts. Chances are to find an efficient and sustainable solution.
Kautex’ experts Rajish Raghu, Global Business Manager Composite Applications and Markus Burggraf, Project Manager Composite in Research & Development are looking forward to welcoming visitors at the Kautex booth (in Hall 5, E65 / G55).
