Under the motto “Technology meets Digital,” the KraussMaffei Group will present trend-setting industry solutions at Fakuma (October 16–20, Hall A7, Stand 7303/7304). Netstal will showcase the ELIOS 4500, the model with the smallest clamping force in a series built for top performance. The Swiss injection molding machines convince with top speeds, total precision and the highest energy efficiency – and they are accessible online at any time when using the AnalytiX production monitoring system.
ELIOS features the best overall thin-walled packaging performance
At Fakuma, Netstal will demonstrate its performance leadership in the thin-walled packaging segment. With an ELIOS 4500-2900, the Swiss mechanical engineering company is sending a particularly attractive injection molding machine to the Friedrichshafen trade fair halls. 12 cm polypropylene plant pots will be manufactured in a Glaroform mold with six cavities. In order to make sure that things don’t get boring, the pots will be injection-molded in various colors. UCC is providing the color master batches. A Brink Automation robot will remove and stack the finished pots. During this application, the ELIOS 4500 will operate with a cycle time of approx. 3 seconds. The flow path/wall thickness ratio is 331:1. “The ELIOS series has been a total hit with regard to performance, precision and energy efficiency. Our customers from the demanding packaging industry heap effusive praise on the series because it gives them decisive competitive advantages,” explains Netstal CEO Renzo Davatz.
